What is Navigate?
Navigate is an intentional ministry at journey church dedicated to ministering to youth ages six grade through 12th grade. We ground ourselves on the truth that youth are called to be active members of the Church now, and we recognize the impact each person may have on another (1 Timothy 4:12). We strive to build relationships with God and each other, establishing a community of believers grounded in the truth of Jesus Christ who recognize what it means to “be third” in the world.
When Do We Meet?
4:00-6:00pm
Every other Sunday at Journey Church
What is a Typical Navigate Meeting?
So, what does a typical Navigate meeting look like? We begin with an activity or game, and some of our favorites are 9 Square, Running Charades, and GaGa! After we have taken time to catch up and settle in, we eat and enjoy fellowship with one another. We also participate in a time of worship, and this leads into our lesson. After the lesson, we have a closing activity that relates to our lesson for the day. With any remaining time, we are able to play more games together! The main goals of each Navigate meeting are to grow in relationship to God and each other, and we pray each time you walk away knowing that you are wholly loved by Jesus Christ!
⁃ In addition to our regular Navigate meetings, we also have a variety of activities we enjoy such as movie nights, art nights, service events and lock-ins! This events take place outside of our regular Navigate meeting times and are exciting ways to continue building community with each other!
